When did you travel?
June 2016
Why did you select this particular tour?
We selected this tour because it concentrated mostly on the Dalmatian coast and only had 4 hotels in 13 days.
Who did you travel with?
I travelled with my husband.
What other Albatross tours have you travelled on previously?
- 2014 - Gallipolli and Turkey
- 2016 - Croatia and the Adriatic
- 2018 - Booked on Italy, the Deep South and Sicily
What was your favourite place/s on your Albatross tour?
Trogir, the stunningly beautiful town that the tour begins in, was my favourite place. Not as crowded as Split, but just as beautiful.
What was the most amazing thing you saw or did on your Albatross tour?
Walking the medieval walls of Dubrovnik just before they close for the night. We were able to look across to our hotel, down onto the bar that is on the rocks outside the walls and out to sea over the Adriatic - superb!
Tell us about your most memorable moment on tour?
Sarajevo and being able to stand on the spot where Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914. School history brought to life.
What was your favourite meal on tour?
My favourite meal on tour was lunch at the restaurant in Mali Ston by the water after the fabulous boat ride out to the oyster farm. The wine and oysters prior to lunch should rate a mention too!
What advice do you have for anyone interested in travelling on this tour?
Just go!
Would you recommend this tour to family and friends? If so, why?
All Albatross tours are worth recommending. Croatia, however, is achingly beautiful whether sightseeing in the Krka National Park or in Kotor.
